Current Production "BRIGADOON" WAS THE FIRST BIG Broadway "hit" for the brand new team of Alan J. Lerner and Frederick Loew...they went on to create "My Fair Lady", "Camelot", "Gigi" and "Paint Your Wagon. "Brigadoon" is the name of an enchanted Scottish village that comes to life but once every hundred years. Two lost American hunters stumble on the village and join in the village life for a day of rocketing emotions. The musical charm of "Brigadoon" is created by the score "Almost Like Being In Love", "There But For You Go I", "The Heather On The Hill", "From This Day On" add a Scottish reel and the classic sword Dance, bagpipes and all, and you have a taste of the Scottish Highlands. |
